Welcome!
We are Tennis For Wreaths Across America (WAA). We gather our local tennis community and run a fun tennis tournament to raise funds to support Wreaths Across America. Our goal is to ensure that each veteran's gravesite at The Jacksonville National Cemetery is honored with a remembrance wreath in December. Thanks so much for visiting our site!

Wreaths Across America’s mission is simple: Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve, and Teach the next generation about the value of freedom. This annual tribute to our country’s veterans has grown to reach more than 5000 cemeteries around the world and more than 3 million of veteran gravesites. This year, National Wreaths Across America day will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025. At all locations hosting the event, veterans and their family members along with volunteers will gather and honor our fallen veterans.
The Jacksonville National Cemetery honors Veterans and their families with final resting places and serves as a national shrine, with lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifice to our nation. It serves the 189,000 veterans in the north Florida/southeastern Georgia region.

We are an all volunteer team who work year round to fundraise, raise awareness of our efforts, and plan and execute Wreaths Across America Day at JNC. We work with veterans groups, local companies and individuals who support our mission.
We have reached our goal of covering every gravesite at the cemetery since 2009. However, each year the number of veterans interred grows. Our goal for 2025 is to cover the expenses for 23,000 wreaths which totals $391,000. We are always looking for volunteers to help with WAA day, as well as with our year round activities.
This year WAA Day is Saturday, December 13th. At the Jacksonville National Cemetery, the day begins with semi trucks carrying our wreaths escorted by a motorcycle honor guard consisting of over 200 bikers – veterans and volunteers alike.
Hundreds of volunteers then unload, stage and prepare the wreaths to be placed at each gravesite. A coordinated, inspiring and beautiful ceremony begins at noon at all locations nationwide, followed by the laying of wreaths at each veteran’s headstone. Families of fallen veterans are given a chance to place their loved one’s wreath prior to the ceremony.
It is said that each person dies twice – once when they leave this earth, and the last time their name is said out loud. As each wreath is laid, our volunteers say that veteran’s name – keeping them alive in our hearts. It is quite a moving sight and a wonderful meaningful experience for veterans’ families and volunteers alike.
